ILLUSTRA GROUP LLC
CLASS RULES
All Classes
All students are required to attend at all days and times to receive a course completion certificate and/or trainer card. Students’ participation, attendance and exam monitoring will be documented. Early registration is highly recommended.
All our training courses will be administered with the same standards, guidelines, and policies as OSHA training rules.
Students need to be on time. OSHA requires us to cover at least 10 hours of safety training. Being on time shows that the student holds themself accountable and takes their learning seriously.
In-Person Classes
Upon successful completion of class, students will receive a hard copy of the certificate/card.
Videoconference, Webinar, and/or Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) Classes
All VILT classes will be taught live via scheduled Zoom Meetings.
Upon successful completion of class, an electronic copy of the student’s certificate/card will be sent to the Client within 24-48 hours. The Client is responsible for distributing the certificate to the student.
Per OSHA’s VILT courses guidelines, students are required to have video capabilities and must be always visible to the instructor and facilitator during the class. Students will be provided with breaks and a lunch break if applicable.
Students must be attending the VILT classes in the United States.
This means that Illustra will conduct training if the student is in locations within the geographic jurisdiction of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act. The geographic jurisdiction of the OSH Act is limited to the 50 U.S. States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Wake Island, Outer Continental Shelf Lands defined in the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, and Johnston Island.
It is MANDATORY for students to be at a stationary site.
Students are not allowed to be in a moving vehicle as passengers, driving and/or on a phone while participating during class. Instructors and facilitators reserve the right to remove a student from the virtual or in-person classroom and will notify the Client.
Ensure technology is working properly.
Hi-speed internet, laptop/PC, speaker, and video capabilities are required.
Treat virtual classes with the same respect as a live class.
All students should give the class their undivided attention, showing their teachers and fellow classmates the same level of respect during the video conference as they would in person.
Find a quiet location and remove all distractions.
Students should find a quiet location where they can listen to the meeting and not be disruptive to the instructor and their classmates.
Have good lighting.
Students can ensure proper lighting by positioning themselves near a window or lamp. Natural lighting is always preferable if possible. Students should avoid turning their back to a light source and/or having any light pointed directly on their face; the best lighting is from the sides. Office lighting and natural lighting can be a strange mix, so students may want to turn off the lamps if they open the curtains.
Wear appropriate clothing.
Students that show up wearing inappropriate clothing or without a shirt will be immediately dropped from the class.
